Fortis Eyewear are specialists in producing polarised fishing sunglasses that help you see through water. Our sunglasses help eliminate glare, provide over 99% polarising efficiency and maintain a high visual clarity.

Our fishing sunglasses provide UV400 protection. Fortis Eyewear products are tested to and pass British Standard BS EN ISO 12312-1:2015. Wearing Fortis Eyewear sunglasses help to reduce eye strain and enable you to see deeper into the water to locate your quarry.

Aviators

The Aviator shape has been a style icon for over 70 years.

Fortis Eyewear bring their own twist on these must have sunglasses by incorporating a luxurious tortoise shell frame or super smooth soft touch, matte black frame. These frames offer supreme comfort & classic style.

Our Switch technology (AV003) allows the lenses to darken substantially in response to UV light. These photochromic lenses adapt to any weather condition.

Bays

The Bays polarised sunglasses have been designed with a 22 degree wrap angle offering great side coverage for a sports frame. This is designed to help eliminate the ingress of side light. Zero hinge (no metal hinge) making these frames extremely lightweight & robust. Integrates our XBlok technology; a reflective surface coating that offers additional (or extra) glare block to enhance vision.

The Fortis OverWraps are polarised fishing sunglasses designed to FIT OVER regular spectacles. Specifically designed for prescription glasses users, these practical performance fit over sunglasses help eliminate unwanted light, whilst cutting out glare to help the angler see deeper.

Soft rubber inserts on the frame arms ensure these frames don’t slip off your head, whilst maximising comfort. A unique vent system at the top of the frame, increases airflow preventing mist/fog build up when pushing a barrow or climbing a tree to spot fish. The stylish matte black flexible lightweight frame means they can be worn all day long comfortably.

The eXtra Clarity is achieved through our ultra thin lenses, whilst maintaining high optical precision. The thinner the lens, the less distortion! Add to this the increased frame height for an endless field of vision.

The eXtra Definition is achieved through our carefully selected contrast enhancement colours. Our injection process allows us to refine the lens colours, helping eliminate blue light aiding a more “natural vision”.

Onto the frames… Designed on a base 8 curve, the Vistas are a beautifully curved frame offering total protection of unwanted side light. These sunglasses have been developed in conjunction with industry leading optical frame designers and professional angler’s with over 75 years of experience to provide not only unrivalled performance but also style in abundance.

The Vistas benefit from 12 vents positioned both on the top of the frame and also the side, which greatly reduces fogging or misting of the lenses. The tail of the arms are tipped in a super comfortable rubber material to not only aid comfort but also to minimise unwanted movement of the frames when in extreme conditions.

The frames are made from a super lightweight PC material making them extremely comfortable for long term wear and subtly branded with indented metal logo’s on each temple.

This highly requested addition to the range features a +2.00 magnified segment to allow angler’s not only perfect vision when fish spotting but also the ability to see items up close. This magnified segment enhances fidely jobs such as tying knots / flies or sharpening hooks. The +2.00 magnification essentially doubles the size of the objects you put in front of it.
